Boat Ride on the Canals

I took a boat ride on the canals of St. Petersburg. What a beautiful site! The weather was about 80 degrees and sunny, an extraordinary morning. There were so many palaces on the river.

Bergen 1 - In Town

Bergen is the City of the seven mountains. Until the 18thcentury, Bergen was the largest city in Norway. It was also the capital in the 13th century. The Hanseatic League lived here; there were 2,000 merchants. Norway became an independent country in 1905. There are 5.3 million people in Norway with 230,000 in Bergen. Viking time in Norway was 793 to 13th century.
