Coming into Russia

I expected to see drab when I entered Russia. I was so wrong. There is so much color in St. Petersburg as you can see in the pictures. These are pictures of castles, parks and a street in downtown St Petersburg.

This Farm was started in 1540. Part of the house is from that time and more has been added since. Notice the grass on the roof. It is trimmed by goats. Many outside buildings are topped by grass roofs, but living residences are prohibited from having grass roofs due to being a potential fire damage. This farm had horses, sheep, goats, and chickens.
