How North are We?

We are headed to St. Petersburg from Finland. It is 11pm and somewhat light. Joanne said she woke up at 2am last night and it was starting to get light out. In Westphalia Mi we are almost at a 43 degree latitude. We are currently at about 60 degree latitude. Anchorage Alaska is at a 61 degree latitude. No wonder it is so light out tonight!

This Farm was started in 1540. Part of the house is from that time and more has been added since. Notice the grass on the roof. It is trimmed by goats. Many outside buildings are topped by grass roofs, but living residences are prohibited from having grass roofs due to being a potential fire damage. This farm had horses, sheep, goats, and chickens.
