Stockholm Sweden

Sweden was established as a country in 1252. Their Main opponents over the years have been Denmark, Russia and Norway.
There are 1,000,000 residents in Stockholm; and there are 2,000,000 residents in greater Stockholm.

The Church with the pointy black steeple is the Church of Nobility; until 1950 all Swedish royal burials occurred at this church. The Spire was replaced in 1970 because the original material was iron and it rusted through.
90% of Swedish people belong to the Swedish Lutheran Church. Before the 1500's the Swedish people were Catholic. Back in those days the country determined what you had to believe.

The church peeking through another picture is where all Swedish royalty are married. One of the current princesses did not get married in this church because her husband did not want to be named a prince; if he did he would have to give up all interest in his business. So they were married in the royal palace.
