Warnemünde

Our ship was in port right in front of the small city of Warnemünde. We spent the afternoon shopping and walking up and down the streets of this delightful city.

This Farm was started in 1540. Part of the house is from that time and more has been added since. Notice the grass on the roof. It is trimmed by goats. Many outside buildings are topped by grass roofs, but living residences are prohibited from having grass roofs due to being a potential fire damage. This farm had horses, sheep, goats, and chickens.
